Some Monday Gush and NEW WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

Hey now friends!
Last week I announced the winners of my Blogiversary Giveaways and I didn't hear back from a couple of you {insert cringe face here}. Since I didn't receive any email confirmations by Friday at midnight I had to re-draw names. So drumroll please....

The new winner of my 2nd Blogiversary is Michelle Tucker AND the new winner of my 3rd Blogiversary is Heidi Madsen Robbins! I've sent out emails to you both to the addresses you provided in the Rafflecopter!
Hope to hear from you both soon and CONGRATS!

We arrived home from an AMAZING California getaway late last night so that's why M&M are still sleeping and I have a chance to jump on here quick!

Fun times were had and I'm itching to find the time to go thru the pics that were taken.

Seriously so blessed to have Nate as my husband and as the father of our children.
You were so thoughtful babe to plan this weekend getaway on the sly, and it was perfect!
Hope you enjoyed your Father's Day weekend just as much as your girl's did.
We love and appreciate you and we are so blessed to call you ours.
Love you Nate Foley!

  Have a happy Monday friends!

This week we are celebrating our Wedding Anniversary!

Need a fast & easy Father's Day Gift Your Kids Can Help You With?

Then keep on reading friends.
{If that wasn't the longest title in world history it would sure give it a run for it's money}

I used this idea my SIL had shared in 2011 and made it our own as Nate's Father's Day gift this year. The girls LOVE collecting rocks so this was perfect for us.

::What you'll need::
 a jar of some sort to hold your rocks {we used a spaghetti jar since we had spaghetti the other day}
rocks {this is where the kiddos come in}
straws
decorative paper
adhesive - masking tape is all I had within arms reach so that's what we used
marker/pen

Do NOT put rocks in first, sorry this photo is misleading a bit lol. Put in the straws first then place the rocks inside to hold the straws where you want them

LOVE paper tearing. If I don't have my paper trimmer to cut straight lines paper tearing "technique" it is! If you want the "white" look like I did above pull the paper towards you.

1)Tear the paper and adhere to the jar 2)Put in the straws 3)Place rocks around the straws

The girls also picked out the paper, the straw colors, and the shapes for the top of the straws.
Anything they could have a say in I asked.
I thought it would be SO cute to stick to a "rockstar theme" to blend well with the "you rock Daddy" theme.
Picture star paper + stars on top of the straws, but the girls didn't think that idea was cool {wink wink}, so we just rolled with it.

Super easy and the girl's loved working on it.
I did double-sided hearts because they wanted to decorate some, and I wrote on some as well.
It was fun to hear their answers with why Daddy rocks our face off.
Maggie's answers that is. Mia just sang "Daddy rocks my face" over and over and over again haha!

What are you getting/making for your baby daddy this year?

*As always, please note that all pictures on this site are mine, and are not to be used without permission. Please ask before using them in anyway. They must also be pinned from this post. Thanks for your understanding*

Linkin up to these parties.

A Day in the Life

I have so many stories, recipes, and even a tutorial or two to document + share with you friends, but after going thru my gazillion and one pictures the two below decided what I wanted to document today.
The two I'm sharing below are far from "blog worthy" but I la la la love them.
This was us. Today.
Mia took this of Maggie dancing to the Doc McStuffins "I Feel Better" song <3
Maggie took this of me and MiaPia <3
This is how I get to spend my days.
With our girls.
Twirling. Dancing. Laughing.
Sure there's a whole lot of keeping the peace, time outs, and LOTS of potty time these days {Lord Help Me!} but there's no where else I'd rather be.

So even tho I wasn't "prepared" I'm doing a day in the life post on yesterday.
Please be warned this isn't like those other AMAZING day in the life posts {I actually have 3 of those started! #fail}. You know which ones I mean. They have a pic every hour, and not just any pic def a "blog worthy" one, be it from the cool angle or the great lighting.

Today and most of our days look like the pics above.
Blurry. Out of focus. Chaotic. Unshowered. FUN.
Remember my post Instagram Life vs. Real Life.
Below is real life.

Today:
Both girl's were awake by 5:30am, Daddy left for work at 5:20am.
We all snuggled in the living room till they both dozed off around 7ish, and unusually for me I fell back asleep as well.
We all woke up around 9am, everybody in a good mood. Whoohoo!
I poured a ginormous bowl of Special K cereal and we all ate from the same bowl, three spoons, on the couch #mommaoftheyear
Thru breakfast we talked about what we were going to accomplish while Daddy was at work.
This is one of my favorite times of the day. Hands down.
My goals: do at least one load of laundry, write Daddy a love note, take new product pictures, blow bubbles and twirl.
Maggie's goals {in her words}: eat a package of Dora fruit snacks, watch Cinderella, eat, watch Curious George on the computer, get wet outside, stay in her panties all day #icantmakethisup
Mia's goals: "Mia what do you want to do today?" "Poop!" this is followed by a sly HUGE grin and uncontrollable laughter from both M&M. "Anything else?" "No pampers mama!"
You might be asking seriously? Because that's what I asked myself. Oh she was serious.
That's a whole other post for another day.
I look back at our list from the am and I can't help but smile.
We checked off everything but eating Dora fruit snacks {which she hates lol!}, watching Cinderella and staying in her panties all day.
We even managed to add extra special things in such as eating lunch all together at the table, where everyone sat in their own chair thru the whole meal #success!
I took the time to just sit back and really soak in the girl's playing outside, and didn't even mind the crazy high temps.
I got SOAKED while trying to kill a HUGE bug, the whole while Maggie was laughing so hard she made no sound at all and Mia had huge tears down her cheeks cuz she was equally as freaked out by the monster bug as me.
I got in a half an hour chat with one of my good friends Alisa, while Mia napped and Maggie snuggled me on my lap.
I got hilarious feel good texts from my sister and one of my bff's Kara all.day.long.
You know when someone just gets you? Yeah. Love my bff's something fierce.

In addition:

Three loads of laundry got washed and put away #holla
Bubbles were definitely blown, and they were definitely wet from playing outside.
Some product pics were taken, but most after Daddy got home to help :)
NO time outs! #amen!
And just a few instances of not sharing which two resulted in Mia pulling Maggie's hair... her new "thing" which I don't know where she picked up and I absolutely despise.
Definitely sounds like a time out reason right?
Time out works like a charm on Maggie. She gets it the consequences.
I think Mia gets it, she just doesn't care.
She was quick to say sorry to Ate on both accounts of hair pulling today, so like I said no time outs. All in all, I call that a successful day!

The day only got better when Nate came home, which is the norm around here.

Lots more playing, more laughing, and of course loving.
Nate grilled out steaks for dinner, and the girl's did awesome eating sprinkles on the table while I hurried around the kitchen getting everything else ready for supper.
Rice {of course!}, rolls, steamed broccoli.
After supper we headed to Walmart because we needed milk and it's literally down the road from us. There we picked up a big bucket to replace our pitcher and toy container we used earlier in the day to get wet. We also picked up smaller buckets for our beach getaway this weekend!

No nap for Maggie meant the 3 min car ride to and from Walmart was a crazy fest trying to keep her awake. Singing at the top of our lungs and lots of peek a boo, but just imagine it on crack. Mission accomplished no nap for her till she fell asleep next to Nate in our bed at 8pm on the dot. MiaPia on the other hand took full advantage of her and mommy alone time after Daddy and Maggie went upstairs to bed. A movie date of Lilo and Stitch, she watched the whole movie! Love how she quotes it at times.
She feel asleep soon after the movie was over around 9pm.

Nate had moved Maggie to her bed, so then we got in our time.
And now it's well past midnight and I'm having me time while my 3 loves sleep.
Seriously such an ordinary day, but thinking of all the blessings it was one great day!

Cheers to another tomorrow!
Ending with a photo dump of today's awesome.ness.

Our ghetto fabulous water buckets treated us just dandy

Not prompted. So.much.Love.
