Everyday for the last two weeks, we go out side and collect rocks for it. (Yes, two weeks, apparently only the very best rocks will do for this dad.) We put the rocks in the jar, and then I cut out a nice little tag that says "Our Dad Rocks" glue it on the front, and there you have it, a Father's Day Gift from the kiddos!
I was waiting until it was done to share with you all, but I wanted to get it up right away just in case your kids are as particular as mine with their rock selecting. When the kids do fill it up, which I am suspecting will be the day before Father's Day, I am just going to put the original lid back in it.
Something to note: after I cut out the tag and swirly thing with my Silhouette I glued them to the glass with Elmers Craft Bond Spray Adhesive.
Worked like a charm! Happy rock hunting!! I will be linking up today, check it out :)

What a cute idea! My girls love collecting rocks and this would remind their dad of this time in their childhood.
ReplyDeleteI have a question. How do you get the links posted in your blog posting. when I try to post them their it only shows text. What am i doing wrong?
