The desert from the 4th post ;)

What you Need:

1 Frozen already made pie crust
1 quart fresh strawberries, divided
4 squares (1 oz each) white chocolate fro baking
1 8 oz reduced fat cream cheese, softened
3/4 cups cold milk
1 package white chocolate instant pudding and pie filling
1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
1 cup thawed, frozen light whipped topping

What to do:

Bake pie crust according to directions on package.
Cool Completely.
Rinse Strawberries and pat them dry. Select 8 uniformly sized berries for dipping. Hull and slice remaining strawberries.

Melt white chocolate in small microwavable bowl, uncovered on high for one minute, stirring every 15 seconds, until chocolate is smooth. Do not overheat,
Dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate; place on parchment paper. Refrigerate 15 minutes or until set.

Using a spatula scrape remaining melted chocolate over bottom of prepared pie crust, spreading evenly to coat entire bottom and sides. Layer sliced strawberries on bottom.

Beat cream cheese with whisk until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk until well blended. Add pudding mix; whisk until mixture begins to thicken. Spread mixture evenly over strawberries.

Arrange blueberries evenly over the top. Fill a decorate bag (one you would use for frosting) with whipped cream. Pipe topping evenly around edge of pie. Add the finishing touch with the berries. Refrigerate until ready to serve!!

Enjoy :)

BBQ Stuffed Chicken

Don't forget to enter in our giveaway for your chance to win some FREE Eye Candy! Click here. Also starting today and thru July 6th, we are offering FREE shipping on all domestic orders. Use code FREEDOM at check out! Thanks for being such awesome readers!
***************************************

Remember my 4th of July post? This is the chicken that was on my menu, and it is my favorite way to do chicken.

What you Need:

Chicken Breasts (I use boneless, and skinless because bones freak me out)
McCormick Grill Mates Barbecue Seasoning
Stubbs BBQ Sauce
Swiss Cheese
Bacon (Cooked)

What to Do:

Take your un-thawed chicken and cut a slit in it on the fatter breast side.
Next take the Grill Mates Seasoning and sprinkle it generously on the chicken.
I let it sit for a bit, you can even kind of rub it in with your hands.
Now take the Stubbs BBQ sauce and pour it all over the chicken.

Now let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

After marinating, put in a preheated (400 degree) oven for about 20 to 30 minutes.

In the mean time, fry up your bacon. I usually do 2 or 3 pieces of bacon per chicken breast.

Take the chicken out of the oven. Remember the cut we made in the beginning? Now is the time to stuff it with Swiss Cheese and our bacon.

Now time to put it on the grill. The chicken is pretty much cooked, I like to throw it on the grill to get the cool grill marks and a little bit of the grilled flavor. Leave it on the grill until the cheese melts completely. Serve it up! SO GOOD ;)

What We Wore Wednesday - June 29th

Check out our GIVEAWAY going on now here!

This week besides our regular posts, we are also posting recipes every night from B's 4th of July menu! What are you making this year for your Independence Day Celebration?? Please share! We would love to hear!
************************************
Bad, bad B this week. I only have one outfit to share, and not even a very glamorous one. The funny thing is that I really did dress up and look nice every single day, but I didn't take pictures. It was such a busy week for us that as we were go, go going, it never seemed like the right time to say "STOP, everybody stop and lets take some pictures of me!" I did manage to get one, I mean a few, of me right before the babysitter came for our date night.
Jeans: Silver (my favorite, yes I wear them ALOT!!) Shirt: Wet Seal, Shoes: Old from many years ago, Flower Brooch: JandMsEyeCandyShoppe, Scarf: Maurices
This week I, aka K, lived in my velour jogging pants with black tank, sun dresses and my swim suit. Period. No pictures if any of it (I know you're all dissapointed, ha!). Just like B it's hard to remember to take pics of just you and your outfits, just getting dressed some days is hard work (wink wink). With that said tho it was a good summer fun filled week, but it didn't leave much room for "dressing up." For our family date night out to Krave *yum yum* I actually got dressed, and took some quick shots while the hubs changed M's bum. Sorry for the blurriness and lighting, I told you these were quick (the hubs is really speedy with diaper changes, he is awesome!).

Still loving adding belts and of course my skinnies. I went from having one pair, to owning 5 different pairs, and I got them all under $10 or less! Woot woot! If you haven't tried a belt, or a pair of skinny jeans, DO IT! It doesn't hurt to test drive it out, especially if the price is right :) Hope you all are having a fabulous week!
Skinnies: Thrifted at a California Boutique for $3.00!,  Shirt: My sister's closet, Belt: Thrifted at Ross for $1.50!, Necklace: gift from the hubs, Earrings and Bubble Watch: JandMsEyeCandyShoppe

As always we will be linking up with these stylish bloggers today! We would love for you to join us!

****************************************
Finding time for yourself as a Momma is hard. Finding time to craft is even harder. Heck, finding time to take a shower some days is hard. As a first time Momma to an almost 11 month old "baby girl" M, I know that balance is key (so corny but it's true).
Have you ever tried balancing on a pumpkin before? It takes skills (wink wink). The hubs and I last fall.
I've been applying a "system" to our weekly routines since M has joined our family, to make sure things actually get done around here. Tuesdays and Thursdays, I've allowed myself "me" days. Meaning when M is down for a nap, I do whatever I want to do. Crafting, computer time, simply watch "adult" TV - aka anything other than Sprout or Nick Jr. On the other week days I use nap time up for cleaning the house, paying bills, etc. That way at the end of each week, I don't have a tornado of a house to clean, I don't have a fear of the electricity getting shut off, PLUS I get some me time in. Woot woot! Of course not everything goes smoothly every second of everyday, regardless if I have a plan or not, but this allows for some structure. Some kind of stability. It has made the overwhelming not so overwhelming at times. That is my secret weapon to keeping our little family organized and sane. What do you do to keep your life more organized, more sane? I would love to hear!

To boot, I've got a fun easy tutorial for you today to help with some organization!
Weekly at-a-glance Calendar
With the hubs managing two different stores now (yes a promotion, woot woot!), keeping track of his ever changing schedule has put a damper on my organization. So to help myself out, I made a weekly, at a glance, calendar that sits atop our counter and helps keep me sane.
Gather supplies: Clear standing 8x10 frame from the local Dollar Store, scraps of paper, adhesive, scissors, Sharpie, and magic erase marker. Optional: paper trimmer and stickers.
8x10 piece of paper for the base of the project. Inserted it into the frame, so you can see the frame better.
Cut seven pieces of paper to correspond with each day of the week. Top three are 4x3.3 inches. Bottom four are 4x2.5 inches. I used coordinating circle stickers for the days of the week. I used a Sharpie marker to hand write the abbreviations of the days on each circle. Since the hubs usually has Sundays off I hand drew and cut the letter F for that space, since you all know I adore Monograms (sigh).
I inserted the whole page into the frame.
And using my magic erase marker I'm able to change the times and our activities weekly, very easily.
Totally love that I can view our whole week at a glance! If this is helpful to you and you create one, please share, I would love to see it!! Feel free to send your project to me at jandmseyecandy@hotmail.com. If you blog about it, please email me so I can view what you created. I would love to feature you! Thanks in advance. Happy Creating!

Sweet M is napping, and since today is one of "my" days I am off to attempt a unique jewelry holder. I see it in my mind only, so hopefully it comes together. My lovely necklaces aren't getting enough wiggle room stuffed in our bathroom drawer. Wish me luck! I'll be posting a tutorial for it on our blog within the next couple of weeks, so check back often.

Accordian Album Tutorial

K is being featured today over at the Fairly Fabulous Blog!, and B is over at While You Were Napping. Check out some refashioned clothing with some J&M's Eye Candy flair! We've included easy to follow tutorials so you can make your own too!! Please feel free to leave some comment love (wink wink). Enjoy!
**************************************

Remember my 4th of July accordian album?  Remember I told you I would teach you how to make it.  Well I am making good on my promise today with a tutorial on how to make one for your very self :)

Let's get started.

Gather your supplies. You will need:
Card stock, patterned paper, stickers, letter stickers, glue, paper trimmer, and of course pictures!

Start with a 12X12 piece of paper. I used a solid color of card stock from Bazzill. Take your paper cutter and cut three strips that are 3 1/2 inches wide. At the end you will have a 1 1/2 inch of paper. Just throw that away, or if you are like me save it in a drawer with hopes of using it one day, then end up throwing it away months down the road. ;)

If your paper cutter has a scoring blade, use it now. Measure 3 1/2 inches from the edge and score. If you don't have a scorer, just measure with a ruler, mark and fold. Keep doing that all the way down your strip. You again will have some left over. This time leave it there. Don't cut it off. Do this step again on the other two strips. On the last strip, cut off the excess card stock.

Now fold your pieces back and forth in an accordion like way.

I inked my edges with an ink pad.  Do this before you glue the three strips together.  I didn't, and it was harder to do when they are all glued together.

After you ink, glue the strips together.  Put the glue on the excess strip that we didn't cut off.  Then add the next strip to that strip, putting the excess behind so you don't see it from the front.  Make sure when you are gluing you use the last strip, the one with out the excess last.

Now you have 9 - 3 and 1/2 inch squares to decorate with pictures, buttons, stickers and patterned paper.  On my 4th of July album, all I used was color card stock and stamps.  On my My Girl album I used patterned paper, matching stickers and embellishments.

The paper line I used for My Girl album is Emma's Shoppe Collection from Crate Paper
The rest is really up to you and your creative genius.  Adhere pictures, paper and whatever you want to your album.  Sometimes I would mat my photos, sometimes I wouldn't.  Play around with it, and experiment with different looks.

When you are done, set it out for all to admire it and envy your creative greatness, or wrap a ribbon around it and give it to grandma :)
Will be linking up today with these parties.

2nd Edition of "Strut your Stuff Sunday," is tomorrow too!!! Grab our button, and don't forget to link up your creations! We can't wait to see what you've been making!!!

********************************************************
What summer = for our little families:
Photos+Words
Jungle Gym Time - Picnic Time - Swing Time - Pool Time - Splash Park Time - Family Time - Nap Time in the park- Slip and Slide in the front yard Time
Lake Swimming Time-Baseball Game Time-Roller Coaster Riding Time- Fish Catching Time-Just Being Together Time
What are some fun things you are up to this summer? Please share, we would love to hear!

The fabulous Lesley over at Life of the Cocktail Party awarded us with a "One Lovely Blog" Award!! SO sweet! So to play along we wrote 7 things about ourselves that no one in blog-land knows... or should know, ha! Here we go, and hopefully you don't think we are too over the edge (wink wink).

B's 7 things:
1. I prefer the rain and snow over the hot and sun.  My theory is that you can always put more clothes on, but once you are naked and still hot, there isn't a lot you can do from there.
2. I got sucked into the Twilight books. I have read every single one, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn twice because I thought they were that good. It is only a little embarrassing to ask the book store clerk where to find Breaking Dawn and they guide me to the Young Adult section.  I am 31 years old for crying out loud!
3.  There is another thing about me, I am 31 years old!!  But still act like I am 21 ;)
4.  Sometimes I eat candy in my laundry room with the door shut so I don't have to share with my kids.
5.  I like to watch Icarly on Nick.  Don't judge people it is quality entertainment.
6.  I don't think it would be a terribly bad thing if I woke up tomorrow morning and looked just like Britney Spears. I am kind of digging that whole white trash blonde kind of look. I didn't change my name to Britney because of her, I was given that name when I was born, ask my mom if you don't believe me.
7.  I shave my big toe.  Have since I was in 8th grade.  I know it is weird and I probably just freaked you all out.  But it is what it is, and I have nice smooth big toes.

K's 7 things:
1. I am a see-go-do type of person. I enjoy traveling, and lucky for me so does the hubs!
2. I can't stand using the bathroom while the fan is running... like for reals, ha! I apologize in advance, to the person who goes after me (wink wink).
3. I am a cry baby. I admit it. I'm ok with it. I cry when I'm happy, when I'm sad, when I laugh hard. I usually cry when I watch a movie, any movie. Disney movies tug at my tear ducts.
4. I secretly enjoy when the hubs pinches my bum, even tho I make a scene about how he shouldn't do that outside the comfort of our own home. I think he knows I like it.
5. I love me some good sappy country song singing, AND some good old Warren G (Regulators! Mount Up). I like to mix it up if you couldn't tell.
6. I hate pumping gas. Period.
7. I only shave my legs like every three months, if that. For reals. My leg hair doesn't really grow ??
How's that for random? Haha!
Aren't you glad Lesley gave us the award now? Thanks again!! We appreciate it!
Hope you enjoyed getting to know us a little more. Hopefully not too much information, ha!

To accept the award we are presenting the One Lovely Blog Award to the following 15 bloggers:
Check them out, leave some comment love, and tell them we sent ya, because we think they are the shiz!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!
