Pink Post {a pillow tutorial} and Strut Your Stuff Sunday Linky Party

We are participating in this awesome idea today!! Won't you join us!?

I am working on a transformation for little J's room. My mom has made her a quilt that I am very excited to get in the mail!! It is beautiful, and way beyond my skill level, but I can make pillows! I call this one the bow tie pillow. J saw it though, and said, "oohhh, a butterfly pillow!" Either way, it is a pillow and its pink. (wink wink).

I got this fleece at Joanne's for 1/2 off. It was just a bit shy of 1 yard.

I cut two 16 inch circles.

I then cut 3 X 1 inch strips.  Lots of strips

This is the crappy super fun part.  You kind of want to scrunch them in the middle to make a bow tie, I kind of did a fan fold.  Then run it through you sewing machine.

Make a lot of those.

Now randomly sew the bow ties on the front side of the pillow.

 Just keep sewing.

 Just keep sewing!

When all the bow ties that you want on your pillow are on, put the two circles together right sides facing each other.

Sew around the outside, leaving a three inch gap.

Turn it right side out.

Stuff with fluff :)
All done!

Plus today is Sunday, and you know what that means!  Strut Your Stuff Baby!  Link up your current goodness below!

The Good, and The Bad...

If you're new here at J&M's HUGE welcome to you and thanks for stopping by!!
Be sure to leave a comment if you follow us! We would love to follow you back and get to know you better!!
Photobucket
When we started this blog in May of this year, we wanted it to be a place where we shared our creativity. Mostly our crafts and projects, sprinkled with cute pics of our sprouts (because let's face it, who doesn't want to see their cute faces?).

We both have our own family personal blogs, so the thought of being more "personal" and "open" in our sharing for this blog never was even brought up.

What we are learning is that this blog that has GROWN so fast in a short amount of time, has become SO MUCH MORE than just a "creativity" blog. It's become a community. We are connecting and making real friendships with other woman who relate so much to us it's crazy :)

We've met some AMAZING women that have shared so much of themselves with us. We are truly inspired and humbled by their stories. That being said we've decided to take a new direction with our blog.

If you noticed we changed up our blog design! I (K) won a blog design make over from a giveaway hosted by the ever so talented and sweet Ashley from Eisy Morgan (designs)!! Seriously, you should enter GIVEAWAYS! The people hosting them would love your participation and YOU COULD win! I NEVER win anything, so when I did I was literally in shock and of course THRILLED!!

With Ashley's help we changed up J&M's Eye Candy... most importantly we added in the word {unedited}.
Yello!! I'm Kristine!! Wifey {to the hubs}, Momma {to our M&M girls}, and Rockstar Extraordinaire {wink wink}! Showing off some handmade Eye Candy from our Shoppe, and my make up free face to show off my H.O.T.T under-eye circles! They are always in season it seems over here!
Whaat's Up!  I am Brit, wife, mom and goofball queen.   I would like to claim that I am showing off something here, but I'm not.  Just me (makeup on) nonsense and jibberish!  (wink wink)
BTW, doesn't K look so friggin cute without makeup?  You can hate on her with me for a minute....no makeup!  She should be beaten for looking so good sans makeup!
That's a little bit of us in a nutshell. We should mention we are sister in laws :)
We married the cheese-head wearing, Green Bay Packer loving Foley boys!
The gang at Maggie's first birthday party this past summer.
We want to share {us}.
The real, the raw, the unedited versions of {us}.

With that said...
Life IS full of happiness, sunshine, and rainbows.
We love sharing that with you! We love reading about it in all your stories.
But let's face it, life can suck at times too! Sometimes beyond our control.
We will be sharing those times with you as well! Excited right (wink wink)?!
We aren't sharing the "bad" to be "Debbie downers," but because it's part of our journey, and we want to share more of our {complete} journey with you!

So hang on lovely readers, and enjoy the ride with us,
The Good, and The Bad.

Happy Day to you awesome readers!!
