Avon Smokey Eyes

A while back I sent Tammie (my Avon/makeup guru) a picture of smokey eyes and said I want to look like this. That night I got a step by step tutorial, a list of all the products used, both Avon and Avon's mark. products, so I could decide how much I wanted to spend. She totally rocks! She knows her stuff and she shares it.  She is like my personal beauty consultant!  I am so spoiled.  I am only sharing her with you all because I love each of you so much!  You can get to know her better here and here, and you can get your own Avon from her here.

I tried the smokey eye thing, using the products that Tammie recommended, and I am not ashamed to say, I look SMOKIN!
So Smokin' that I made hubbie go outside with me and snap pictures.  He was thrilled.

These are the products I used.
Avon SuperShock in blackened metal, SuperShock Max Mascara in black, Ultra Luxury Eye Liner in black, Onyx Luster Tri Shadow in Midnight Luster
They all rocked my socks off, but my favorite was probably the Avon SuperShock. I used a brush to apply it, and it was so smooth, fast and easy!  I love how it turned out!  In fact it may have just taken the top spot of my all time favorite eye makeup of ALL time!

My other favorite thing about this look, it took me less then 10 minutes, and hello, I only used 4 products.  I watched a tutorial from another cosmetic company on smokey eyes, and it used like 10 products.  LAME!! I don't have time to paint my eyelids with ten different shades!  Please, I am a very busy person! (wink wink)  Plus this is a look I am comfortable wearing for everyday, you know to the Wal-Mart.  If I do it a little bit darker it is going to be perfect for that night out and the hubbie's Christmas party!  (Have you thought about your Christmas party yet?)

These products are awesome, love how they made my eyes pop,  I love what a great value they are and I love how easy it was to glam me up!

Now here are some more pics of me, cuz I am super vain like that!

Sometimes it is fun to show off for the camera!

Pretty cool right?  Well how cool is it that these products are up for grabs in our Black Friday MEGA giveaway!  What?  You haven't entered yet, I will pretend I didn't even hear that, while you click here and enter it ASAP!

Of course, you can always go and buy your own here.

()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()
Today I thought I would help a momma out by sharing, actually RE sharing a food idea.  I shared this with the lovely Lacee over at Mommas Like Us a while back, but didn't want anyone to miss it; so here it is again.

What you will need is :

2 Super-size English Muffins, split and toasted
8 teaspoons Honey Mustard
1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
Ham sliced...however much you like on a sandwich
4 slices of Swiss Chesse
Various fruits and veggies to make the hair and eyes.  (Be creative here, there are no wrong answers)

Order of operations goes like this: English muffin, pineapple, ham and then cheese.  Before I make the face, I pop them in the oven and broil them to melt the cheese.  Then be an artist and decorate!

Now make it look like this, or however you want to make it look.  Mine is different every time.
For the boy

For the girl

There you have it!  Have fun eating them, and don't forget to make a huge mess, because it's funner that way!

Now it is your turn!  Go ahead and wow us with your skills!

I am _____ right now...

I haven't had time to link up to some of my favs recently, because everything other than the craft show has been on the back burner. Now that it's over, I'm ready to play and let it all hang out, ha!
Have you tried Photo Cabine before?! If not, it's a good time with peeps or alone, ha! It also makes a great date night ;) Moustache necklace from Little Miss Momma's Etsy Shop
I am.
a proud stay at home Momma to our M&M girls. One 16 months old and one almost 2 months old. Exhausted, and happy.
I wonder.
when we will be "ready" to have baby #3, even tho we just added baby #2 to our fam.
I hear.
the hubs AND both our M&M girls snoring, with some NCIS on TV playing in the background. Music for my soul (the snoring). Love it!
I see.
a trip to CALI-FORN-I-A in our near future.
I want.
my mom to live with us.
I feel.
SO happy that my craft show is over! Looking forward to re-claiming the bedtime cuddles routine with the Hubs.
I worry.
about my kids growing up in this world.
I cry.
when I'm happy, when I'm sad, when I laugh too hard! I hate to call myself a "cry baby," but I kind of am :)
I dream.
of the day the Hubs can stay home with me, every.single.day.
I try.
to understand everyone's perspectives and point of view. That doesn't mean I have to agree with them.

Scrapbook Stool {Tutorial}

I shared this fun project over at Truly Lovely a while back, but wanted to share it again here, cuz I liked it, plus I think it is a good Christmas gift idea.
****************************************
I thought I'd share with you a secret of mine today... yes, I trust you won't judge me. Heck, maybe some of you can relate??  I have a very bad habit. I really can't break it; I've tried, and although I may do really well one week, the next week, BAM! Right back into my bad habit. You see, I take and print too many pictures. The taking, not so bad. That is the fun in digital cameras, shoot until your heart is content, and then delete. Not me though, I don't delete. Since I'm totally smitten by my two kids, I print 95% of the pictures I take. What to do with all these pictures?? I scrapbook of course, but there is still more. Today I would like to share with you lovely readers one way I "used" the overload of pictures that I print on a weekly basis.

I took a little foot stool and covered it with photos!! Read on to learn how!

First gather your supplies. You will need:
Foot stool (I got mine at Michaels)
Mod Podge
Sponge Brush
Paint
Pictures
Patterned Paper

If your stool is unfinished, you will want to paint it first in the color that you want it to be. I painted mine teal, and then once it dried I took orange and randomly painted streaks of orange all over.
After the paint has dried, measure the top of your stool. Cut your papers and pictures to form a collage on top. It kind of feels like you are putting together a puzzle. Arrange the pictures and paper to make sure they all fit nicely.

Take them off, and apply with a sponge brush Mod Podge to the back of the pictures and patterned paper. (TIP: I took a picture of the top of my stool so I could remember the exact placement of the pictures. I do this when I scrapbook too, snap a quick pic, then when you go to glue everything back down, you won't forget where it was originally)
After you have glued all of the pictures and papers back on the stool, let it dry completely.  After it has dried, take a piece of sand paper and sand the edges of the stool/pictures.
Now take your sponge brush and apply Mod Podge over the whole stool, pictures and all.  Let it dry, and then do it again.
After it dried, I ripped up strips of fabric and tied them to the bar underneath.  Why?  Not really sure yet.  I guess I wasn't ready to be done crafting.
All done now.  A little piece of scrapbook right under our  feet, makes me SO happy :)  I love it when I use up pictures from my towering mountain of photos.  If you are like me, and have way too many pictures and need more ideas on what to do with them all, check out the two posts below for some other projects I made:

$30 Gift Certificate from Little Miss Missy Boutique
Blog : Facebook : Shop
In November of 2010, Missy welcomed her first little bundle of joy, Max William and decided to stay home, putting her design career of over 10 years on hold. Missy has always been creative in many areas of art, like oil painting, charcoal, Illustrations and of course the wonderful world of graphic design. On side of her career she has freelanced for companies, designed for startup businesses, make greeting cards, stickers, scrapbooking, party designs, custom designs for friends, families, fundraisers, baby announcements, wedding invitations , you name it she can create it. She was an exhibitor in the CHA Las Vegas Show of 2006, she was picked up by an Agent and overwhelmed with a few things in life at that time so she held off on fulfilling her dreams. So, it's about time to share it with the world. This new role of hers has opened many new windows making it the perfect time to do it. She learned of etsy thru a friend and opened a Etsy shop, "Little Miss Missy", a phrase she heard throughout her years, so a given what to name her shop.
She offers, DIY printable for all the Party details, Cards & Invites for Baby, Birthdays, Wedding, Anniversaries. Darling original prints for decor and great ideas or lil gifts for the religious side of things. Plenty of  Designs and styles for all the (lil) misses and (lil) misters.
Missy has been known to do a few crazy things like skydiving, or get good and dirty either in the mud or with art mediums. She is a perfectionist, and loves trying new things, burns the midnight oil, loves Ben & Jerrys Ice Cream (fair goodness cake is her favorite) and enjoys a peanut butter sandwich with banana slices and pretzels (no she is not prego).

I'm Andi and I am a teacher turned SAHM to two little ones, a wife, crafter, lover of antiques, beginner wannabe photographer, and most recently, an etsy shop owner!  My two sisters and I opened The Hollie Rogue Shop just a couple of weeks ago.  I blog about my perspectives on faith, family, parenting, and the handmade community on my blog The Hollie Rogue.  Please stop by and say "Hello!"
Everything you need to create Smokey Eyes
from Pampered By Tammie

I'm Tammie.  I am the wife of a super-terrific husband and I have two great children.  I guess if you needed to sum me up in two words it would be "randomly organzied".  I know, they don't mix, but really that's me!  I'm AM a very OCD type of person and yet looking at many parts of my life you wouldn't believe me, I promise!  Let's just say I choose my battles :)  As for my passions in life, well I'm all about my faith, my scrapbooking, my crafts, and of course my AVON!
$20 shop credit from Southern Scraps Etsy Shop
SouthernScraps specialty is handmade greeting cards for birthday, holidays, and all occasions. You will find all sorts of paper crafts, cards, and other handmade crafts. During the past year I added a jewelry and gifts section that includes bracelets, fabric flower brooches, rosette necklace, and more. I work full time and started my esty shop as an outlet to share my creations and support my craft addiction. I make products and work on the shop in my spare time away from my regular job. Handmade cards are always enjoyed by the recipient because it means you've given them a unique one of a kind gift in itself rather than a mass produced run of the mill product. My cards and tags are made with quality acid free scrapbook products and can be kept in memory books for years to come.
A little about me: I love Jesus, my hubby, and my fur baby - a belgian malinois shephard. My hubby is extremely supportive of my creativity and can often be found doing his own diy projects. I enjoy learning all sorts of crafts and photography. I have just began to learn to use my camera out of the auto mode, and I'm hoping to improve my photography skills.

This adorable little plush equipped with his own awesome lotion bottle from Mr. Moose Mills
Hi, my name is Moose Mills and I’m a self-employed moose from the great state of New Hampshire.  I have my own line of beauty products & sunscreen called "Moose Mills Products".  You might find this odd since I AM a moose … but I’m actually a world traveler and LOVE people!  In fact, keep your eyes open as you drive this nation’s highways because you might see me one day flying past you in my cool red convertible!
A charming headband and $5 Starbucks Gift Card courtesy of Made By Munchies Mama.
My name is Summer and I am the all over the place mama behind Made By Munchie's Mama.  I work, I wife, I mama and occasionally I am just Summer. I have 2 little boys: Munchie who is 2 aka Gavin and Dylie Bear who is 7 months aka Dylan.
My hubby and I are just like every other couple: struggling to find the work, parent, spouse balance and taking things one day at a time.  On my blog you will find me writing about fights I have with my hubbymama guiltwhat I wear on Wednesdays, and stuff they don't tell you about parenthood before you get pregnant.  I also throw a good ole' tutorial around every now and then.
In my spare time (usually around midnight) I enjoy being crafty!
It's how I keep my sanity.  After having kids I struggled to find me time...I thought that I needed to "get away" to recharge my battery.  I finally came to the realization that I love being home with my family and crafting allows me to recharge in the place that I love around the people that I love.
I have an Etsy shop that really is a "hodge podge" of things I made and liked enough to share with anyone who wants to take them home: crochet hats, necklaces, hair do-dads, home decor...like I said "hodge podge".
I recently found the blog world and felt so connected to
these women that I never met through their posts about
life, love, loss and crafts.  They have changed my life for the better and inspired me to share my passions with everyone out in "blogland" who might be looking for what I was looking for...Someone, some story, something to connect with and inspire me to do the things I never thought I could.

A Scentsy Brick and Scentsy Circle from Kassi who blogs over at Truly Lovely.
Blog : Facebook : Shop
Hello all!!! My name is Kassi and I am a Scentsy Consultant now located in Safford, Arizona! I was first introduced to Scentsy in Escalante, Utah while visiting some of my, husband’s family. My sister-in-law, Arina, invited her friend over for a Scentsy party of sorts, so that us girls could smell the Scentsy testers and check it all out while we were there. The consultant, Melissa, brought over her testers and books. My mother-in-law, Norene, sister-in-law, Brianne, and I loved it! Norene  bought us all our first Scentsy warmers and scents on the spot. My first Scentsy warmer, the Rustic Star is still my favorite!
After placing our order with Melissa, I realized that I hadn't heard of anyone selling Scentsy in New Mexico (where I lived at the time), much less in my area. I asked Melissa what it would take to become a consultant and as soon as I got home from Utah, I joined!
I have been a Scentsy Consultant since May of 2008 and have enjoyed it so much!
Being that I was a student at New Mexico State University at the time, it sounded like a great opportunity to make some extra money without having to take on a demanding second job... And it has been! There were times that my Scentsy sales commissions have helped me pay my bills when I otherwise may not have made it!
I am now a Star Consultant with a team of 10 AMAZING ladies! I would LOVE to become a Scentsy Director someday!!! I hope you have enjoyed my Scentsy story and if you have any questions, want to host a party, or are interested in becoming a consultant yourself, please feel free to e-mail me at kassi_04_13@yahoo.com.

A Coffee Cozy from Crochet Market -
winner gets to choose the color!
Blog : Twitter : Facebook : Shoppe
I am a wife, homeschooling mom to 2, lover of coffee & addicted to crochet! I was inspired by all the sewing & craft projects I was surrounded by as a little girl. Now, I love creating things that encourage creativity & provide smiles to those around me. Life is very full, but I always seem to find time to create little accessories with yarn, that are eco-friendly & sustainable! These items make sweet gifts – they allow you & your friends to create a one-of-a-kind handmade style!

Since I love coffee, the Coffee Cozy’s are my favorite. They are a fun accessory to use yourself or give to your friends, as you enjoy the chilly temperatures with your favorite drink. They will ‘dress up’ your coffee cup & allow you to show your own personal style. Of course, they will keep your hands safe from the hot temperatures & give you a better grip on the cup, too. Oh, how sweet.

My shop is growing with new things - Coffee Cozies, Neck Cowls, Chunky Ear Warmers & Headbands, Hair Scrunchies, Wrist Warmers, etc. Make sure to stop by & look in.

Two necklace, earrings, and a bracelet from Sparkle Spot
Blog : Facebook
A bit about me and my business: I Love Jewelry and Hair accessories, I use to make all my own for me & my girls and others. But I also teach kids music/piano and have 4 kids of my own and didn't quite have the time to make a bunch of stuff anymore.  I heard about Paparazzi and new I would love it. There is no way I could even make a necklace for $5, so I new this would save me so much time and I would be able to offer everybody very cute & fashionable yet such affordable accessories! I love it!! I love this company and I love the extra cash I am able to make to help my family reach the financial stability that we have worded so hard for. I also love that I am able to help others be successful with Paparazzi.  It's such a blessing to me and I love to help others realize that as well!  Please contact me if this is a business that you would enjoy as well!
