Hi all! I'm Cat and I'm a mother to three rambunctious little kids. In my 'spare' time I write this blog.
Here I like to share with you stuff I love, warn you about stuff I
don't love, share my favorite kid-friendly books and recipes, and
spotlight some of my favorite charities/shops/blogs. I also host 3
weekly link-ups, 1 monthly link-up, and post the occasional giveaway or
anecdote.
I've started a couple little
shops. In an effort to 'pay it forward,' 50% of all profits from my
sales at Mimi Baby Boutique go to charity. Please see below for more info on this quarter's featured charity. I've also just opened Big Red Kite, where I sell hand-appliquéd and hand-painted items for kids. Also, all items from The Hunger Line donate 100% of profits to charities dedicated to feeding children at risk of starvation all over the world.
I
do take custom orders - so if you'd like me to create something special
for you, just contact me. Most items in my shop are one-of-a-kind, but
if you see something you love that you want two (or more) of, I'll
recreate it as closely as possible (most supplies can be reordered). I
also do "ground up" custom orders within the realm of my ability. If
there's something you'd like, just ask!

Meet more of my February Sponsors who are giving away some awesome swag!
Hi! I'm Lacey, the blogger behind Little Miss Nerd Girl.
My husband, three kids and I are a bunch of nerds (or so our family and
friends like to tell us). I am also a mom, wife, full-time student, and
wannabe baker and blog designer. If you want to learn a bit more about me and my brood of nerds, all you have to do is stop by and say hello!
Hello friends of Kristine. Let me start by saying hello and also that I absolutely adore Kristine. I'm so super excited to be in her sidebar I'm giddy!
OK, now that we've covered that, let's talk about ME.
I'm Megan, but you will know me better as Absolute Mommy. I'm a stay at home mom who loves her kids, but also loves her DVR, Starbucks, and her iPhone in almost a co-dependent way. These however are my last vices, no more alcohol, no more cigarettes, no more bread (I'm gluten free). So really I'm not so upset at my co-dependency...
I have decided that I was not built for motherhood. However motherhood has built me, and it's a work in progress.
I'm on the downward slope to 35, and I'm not quite sure how I feel about that.
I love my husband because he is hilarious, and you can't stay mad at someone who makes you laugh. His expertise is the conversational joke.
I have two beautiful daughters. Caitlin and Mackenzie. One day they are going to sue for damages and defamation of character as a result of reading this blog. I'm ok with that. Or they will write their own blog/book, and I'm not sure I'll be ok with that.
I'm always going to be honest. Sometimes I'll be harsh. I'll try my best not to offend. But I can't promise anything.
So stop by and say hi! Let me know that Kristine sent you!
Hey y'all I'm Heather! I'm a 30 something newlywed, who has a passion
for photography, cooking and blogging. I've always been a writer and
now is the time where I'm getting a little bit more serious and
documenting life...On my blog you'll find tons of pictures, lots of
laughs and the occassional recipe! Hope you stop by soon!

Pass
It Forward was designed to get people to do little things, everyday,
that makes an impact on the community around them. Pass it Forward is
designed around a card.
Each card is given a unique ID number. Lets say we're at
McDonalds, and I decide to pay for the person behind me in the drive
through. I'd give the cashier the card, and tell them to pass it along
to the next car when they give them the food that has been paid for. I
then go home and log into the website that was on the card, and find my
unique ID number. I log into it, and add my information... My first
name, city, and a description of what I did....
Let's say the person behind me was you, you would pass it forward to someone else, and they would go home and do the same thing.
From the very beginning, you will be able to track where your card
goes, and how many people you affect just by doing one simple act of
kindness. (www.spreadtheshine.com)
***********************************************
Sweet right?!
Let's do this peeps! Together with a little bit of effort and kindness, we really can make a difference!
Head over to The Shine Project Blog to get your own ID card, and let's get our Shine On together!

She's also giving away a little something something :) Take it away Christy!
**********************************************
Hello friends of the Foley Fam! I am Christy Lee and I blog over at C.Lee
I am *so* thrilled to be guest posting here on Kristine's blog today.
She was my very first bloggy friend and she is such a doll!
Her friendship means so much to me.
On my blog I blog about faith, family, fashion, the joy I find through motherhood and our day to day lives.
My husband and I have been married for four years and we have three precious children.
Gabe is 5, Sadie is 3 and Abby Sue is 1.
They are perfection.
Being a mom is the only job I have ever wanted. My three little ones are the most important things to me and it is hard to imagine what life was like before them. I have found that being a mother has really refined me as a person. It has made me look deep inside myself and question what my priorities and dreams are and what I want to pass along to my children.
One thing I really want my children to learn and have is gratitude. I want them to know not only how to express "thank you" to others but to also be grateful for what the Lord has given them.
For all their blessings.
I want them to be strong individuals and to know that adversities come to help them grow and to more fully appreciate what they have. That in those times of need and trials they need to rely on God because without him in their lives they have nothing.
The most difficult thing about being a parent is realizing that all you want your children to learn and become you must first be that yourself. We are their number one teachers. They look up to us and will learn how to see the world based on how we are, think, act and speak. Everyday we breathe we are helping to mold them. It is a huge undertaking and responsibility.
Honestly though, it is the best job in the world. What other job can you do all the things moms can do? No other job is filled with as much joy as mothering.
Every week I host a link up party titled "share your joy" which is exactly that. Sharing a moment or a picture that brought you joy that week or made your heart smile.
Please come and share with me! It is the highlight of my week!!

With some recent events here, her post above really hit home. Thank you so much Christy for sharing your heart on my little blog-o today!! Her blog is one of my daily reads, I know you will love her as much as I do so be sure to stop by her blog and say hello!
AND because she's also generous, she is giving away something she loves!

I'm so thrilled to be a contributing writer over at Living on Love and Cents!
Twice a month I'll be sharing some beauty/fashion "secrets" of mine
that get me out of my beloved Mommy uniform (velour pants and a
t-shirt), and into something a little more fashionable, all while saving
money! As Momma, aka CEO of our household, I'm all about taking care of
everyone in our little family of four, and usually putting myself on
the back burner. That's unlikely to change, but this year, even with
spit up stains and food in my hair from my sprouts, I decided that I
deserve to look and feel great for myself. You know what? You deserve it
too! I hope I inspire you to step out of your comfort zone, and join me
on this fashion journey.

I shared the little ditty (name that tune) below a couple weeks ago over there, but wanted to post it here too in case you missed it.
I LOVE "Love Month" for so many reasons, but I wanted to change up my wardrobe this year by sporting my new favorite hue, instead of the usual red and pinks. Turquoise baby!
I wanted to start a new series featuring one piece and three different ways to wear it! I'm starting off this fun series with a Turquoise STATEMENT NECKLACE.
Whether you're running errands, or off on a spontaneous trip to the park (ya know, because you can't stand it in the house anymore, lol!), putting on a piece like a Statement Necklace can bring you from drab to fab in little time and little effort! I know you're all thinking, who the heck wears jewelry, let alone a Statement Necklace to the park? I ask you, why not? Up above sure beats my "mom uniform" of Velour jogging pants and a t-shirt/sweatshirt. AND I guarantee I will feel MUCH happier dressing put together than sloppy. Pearls are my go to earrings of choice, but switching it up with fun colorful cabochon earrings will spice up any of my outfits! And for this Momma, a watch is a must, sure beats losing my phone as I race down a park slide with M&M. I usually sport my black flats everywhere I go, but I was looking for more support. Some fashionable "tennis" shoes are Toms! I tried on my cousins, and was so tempted to just walk home with them! My first pair is on it's way as I type this!
This look is a bit more dressier, and is something I would use to go on a Lunch Date. I love that I can wear it when my sprouts aren't with me, and when they ARE with me.With the fun color of the Statement Necklace, I vamped it up more with other coordinating colors. Orange and Turquoise are one of my favs! Trust me! Don't knock it till you rock it ladies!
Yes, I love me a little black dress with this Statement Necklace too, BUT this is more me. Keeping with the all-black look, I went for more edgier date night out accessories to go with the necklace, because let's face it, the Hubs and I just aren't fancy black tie only restaurant type goers (no offense, wink wink). I found an easy inexpensive way to add that fun pop of color to your wardrobe. Wait for it... NAIL POLISH!
Hope you all enjoyed this fun series! Looking forward to sharing more! What one piece would you guys like to see in a future feature? Feel free to leave a comment and I'll try my best to make it work.
If you missed my first Looking Lovely on Less feature a couple weeks ago, click here.
