I first saw these ridiculously easy, messy (dirty) brownies over at my friend's Ashley's place. She put it perfectly "They are unnecessary, easy, and sinful." Read on to see how I made ours!
Gather ingredients:
A roll of cookie dough - chocolate chip in our case
A package of Oreos - Birthday kind (we stocked up, ha!)
Brownie Mix (oil, water, and an egg)
9x13 pan
Pam cooking spray
Follow the directions for the brownie mix, set aside.
Spread the cookie dough onto your greased pan for your first layer
Next, put a layer of Oreos on top of that
I ended up using 20 to fill the pan
Pour Brownie Mix batter over the Oreo layer
Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 min
Enjoy some deliciousness!!!
My tips:
Wait for them to cool a wee bit, or you will burn your mouth
I will be using two rolls of cookie dough next time, because in this case two is better than one We also eat most of our desserts with a side of ice cream, this was no exception
They were SO easy, you MUST try them and then let me know what you think!

A song came on the radio in the car the other day.
The same song that a lady years ago sang as we sat in one of the pews at church.
Nate and I had just moved to Wisconsin from Nevada.
A new chapter in our lives.
I remember feeling every emotion possible.
Excitement, fear and everything else all rolled into one. Most
importantly I felt hope. Hearing this song reminded me of what really matters, Him. Now whenever I hear this song I'm
taken back to those days, and I smile. Like really smile. I played this
song A LOT, while Magpie was growing in my belly. One little word. Hope.
I found myself brought to tears by the words to the song that day in church, and now, years later, it still offers the same effect.
Fast forward to the other day in the car.
As I sat there at a stop light, with the girls in the back seat, all the events of the last couple weeks just flooded me. I've shared on here the girls have been sick, so that's taken a toll on our fam, also other events that I haven't shared (yet) have left us in a state of anxiousness. It just hit me all at once. It literally was a mere 2 minutes into my pity party that I recognized the song that had come on the radio. It was "our song" Our song of Hope.
Seems as tho God knows just how to pull me back to reality.
Pull me back out of my pity party, and really put me in check.
He knew I needed to hear that song, that day, that moment.
Next thing I know I hear Maggie's little voice coming from the back seat,
"the voice of truth" she sings yells out with conviction. My smart angel girl.
Just what I needed.
Happy Thursday lovely friends!
Lyrics:
Oh,what I would do to have
the kind of faith it takes
To climb out of this boat I'm in
Onto the crashing waves
To step out of my comfort zone
Into the realm of the unknown
Where Jesus is,
And he's holding out his hand
But the waves are calling out my name
and they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times
I've tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
time and time again
"Boy, you'll never win,
You you'll never win
But the Voice of truth tells me a different story
the Voice of truth says "do not be afraid!"
and the Voice of truth says "this is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of truth
Oh, what I would do
to have the kind of strength it takes
To stand before a giant
with just a sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound
of a thousand warriors
shaking in their armor
Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand
But the giant's calling out
my name and he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times
I've tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling me
time and time again
"Boy you'll never win,
you'll never win."
But the voice of truth tells me a different story
the Voice of truth says "do not be afraid!"
and the Voice of truth says "this is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of truth
But the stone was just the right size
to put the giant on the ground
and the waves they don't seem so high
from on top of them looking down
I will soar with the wings of eagles
when I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus
singing over me
But the Voice of truth tells me a different story
The Voice of truth says "do not be afraid!"
And the Voice of truth says "this is for my glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me (calling out to me)
I will choose to listen and believe (I will choose to listen and believe)
I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of truth
I will listen and believe
I will listen and believe the Voice of truth
I will listen and believe
'Cause Jesus you are the Voice of truth
And I will listen to you.. oh you are the Voice of truth
I'm talking about getting dressed... OUT of my "mommy uniform" of shirts/tanks and my velour jogging pants, well shorts now that it's getting hot. Yup, that's my secret.
I know if I just did it, I'd feel better, but thinking about it makes me tired, ha!
I could blame it on having sick sprouts for the past two weeks. I could blame it on not enough hours in a day to even sneak a shower most days. I could blame it on pure.utter.exhaustion. I could blame it on the rain (anyone know this song?)...
But I'd be a big fat liar.
Not that the things above (except for the rain), don't all play a role in my WIWW blues, but they are excuses. And BOO on making excuses.
I blogged about why I started participating in the What I Wore posts here, and even wrote why I need to keep up with them for myself here.
So why the heck do I have the WIW blog post blues??
Honestly, I haven't even really been in the "taking a pic from arms length" kind of mood, and heck I use to rock those like nobody's business.
With our sprouts
With the Hubs
Even when I'm stuffing my face
See what I mean (wink wink)?
Anywhoo, to shake this craziness off and to remind myself that I really did get dressed and enjoyed it here's a recap of my fav outfits from the past year.
I could live in striped shirts+skinny jeans+heels
Stylin my first ever pom necklace I made myself!
I could also live in dresses :)
Capris+Heels+this short Mama = Love
How can you go wrong posing on the toilet?!?
And of course, remember that time I was Rockin tell tale ROOTS??
I'm SO ready to get out of this fashion rut!! HELP! What do you do when you're in a fashion rut??
I'm off to {literally} shop on my Pinterest boards via Polyvore! No really. Seriously, it's easy as pie.
For the one above I can't afford those EXACT items, but I'm pretty sure I have it all in my closet.I know the outfits above don't scream GLAMOROUS, but heck, they sure kick the crap out of my mommy uniform. I need to get my lazy bum in gear. Cheers to a "fashionable" rest of the week year lovely friends!

I'm pretty sure my friends IRL (in real life) think I've gone bonkers.
Lately I've been talking about my "friends"
and they have no idea who these people are.
I find myself saying,
"OMG Kristine posted thee cutest head band on Facebook today!", or
"Did you see Lena's post of that Glamor with Katniss on the cover".
Then my friends, hubby, or family look at me and say WHO?
That's because Kristine (who is graciously hosting me here today),
and Lena, are my bloggy friends forever (BFFs).
And I talk about them like they live down the street.
Do you find yourself doing that?
This has been the greatest payoff since I started my blog.
The friendships.
The community.
What's better than the blogging support those BFFs give you?
Kristine and I "met" last December after I posted about my fashion fail.
Buying nylons at the grocery store seemed like a huge fail
*We are totally on the same wave length for support and sharing the love! I LOVE that!* Ok, when I say you need to check her awesome-ness out, I mean it friends! Her blog is a great read, not to mention she just rocks in general!! She is participating in the Group Giveaway happening right now! She's giving away a $20 Giftcard to Target!! So hop on over here and get your entering on!
